You Won’t Believe Who Ronda Rousey is Set to Confront in Shocking AEW Debut at All In!

Ronda Rousey might be making her AEW debut soon to confront ex-WWE Superstar Mercedes Mone, setting up a potential match for All In. Rousey, who signed with WWE in 2018, worked with the company until 2023. After announcing her retirement in October 2023, she quickly came out of retirement, appearing for an independent promotion and making her ROH debut in November 2023. Since then, she hasn’t been seen in the ring and hasn’t commented on returning to wrestling.

There’s a possibility she could join AEW and confront Mercedes Mone. The two have a history from their WWE days, and Mone, the current TBS champion, needs a worthy opponent for the London pay-per-view. Additionally, Rousey might want to work alongside her friend Marina Shafir, who was with her during her ROH debut. There are also rumours that AEW’s Tony Khan might introduce Women’s Tag Titles, which could see Rousey and Shafir dominate the tag team division.

Why might Rousey choose AEW over a WWE return? After leaving WWE, Rousey made it clear she had no intention of returning, criticizing the company for mistreating her. In her memoir “Our Fight,” she expressed significant grievances with WWE. Additionally, Rousey wants to spend more time with her family, especially her daughter. AEW and Tony Khan are known for accommodating their employees’ needs, potentially offering Rousey a more flexible schedule that would allow her to spend more time at home. This makes it more likely she would join AEW over returning to WWE.
