When Nora Fatehi Revealed Sharing Flat With 9 People, Surviving On Eggs And Breads

Nora Fatehi, a Bollywood actress known for her exceptional dance performances and charm, made her acting debut with the film Roar: Tigers of the Sundarbans. She gained fame with her item songs in Baahubali: The Beginning, Kick 2, and Temper. However, her road to stardom was not easy. Originally from Canada, Nora faced innumerable challenges when she moved to Mumbai, the city of dreams. In an earlier interview, she spoke about her struggling days, revealing that she came to India with only Rs 5,000 in her pocket. She moved in with nine people in a 3 BHK house, sharing a room with two other girls. Nora described her experience as living with “nine psychopaths,” often questioning her decision and feeling traumatized by the situation.

Nora further shared that she sometimes survived on just bread and eggs. The agency she worked for would deduct a lot of money and pay her less. She described this period as a rough time, saying she needed therapy due to the severe struggles she faced. Nora explained that the agency would charge them commissions and deduct money for even the smallest things, highlighting the exploitation by some agencies and the lack of laws to protect them. In a recent interview, Nora expressed her desire to make a documentary about her journey. She wants to tell the story of how a random girl named Nora, from an ordinary place, who wasn’t even Indian, came to Bollywood, learned the language, assimilated, and broke barriers. Despite people telling her she wouldn’t make it, she defied the odds and became a global star.

Nora believes her life story is documentary-worthy. This year, Nora Fatehi appeared in the film Madgaon Express, alongside actors like Pratik Gandhi and Divyendu. She also starred in Vidyut Jammwal’s action film, Crakk – Jeetegaa Toh Jiyegaa. Nora Fatehi’s journey from a girl with a dream to a global star is a testament to her resilience, talent, and determination. Despite facing numerous challenges and setbacks, she has carved out a successful career in Bollywood and continues to inspire many with her story. As she looks to the future, her aspiration to share her experiences through a documentary reflects her desire to inspire others to chase their dreams, no matter how daunting the path may seem. Nora’s story is a powerful reminder that with perseverance and hard work, anything is possible.
