The highly anticipated Telugu film “Matka,” starring Varun Tej, is deep into its production phase and is set to be a high-budget, pan-India film. The filmmakers are sparing no expense to ensure a visually stunning experience, with a substantial Rs. 15 crores dedicated solely to building elaborate sets at Ramoji Film City (RFC) in Hyderabad. These sets are crafted with meticulous attention to detail, recreating the vintage charm and essence of Vizag, and transporting the audience back in time. The commitment to detail, showcased in the making video, promises to be a major highlight of the film. Director Karuna Kumar has penned a captivating script inspired by real-life events that once shook the nation.
The shooting schedule of “Matka” is currently underway, having already completed two schedules. The team is now in the midst of an intensive 35-day shoot at RFC. The first 14 days of shooting were in Hyderabad, followed by four days in the scenic city of Vizag. The total filming schedule is estimated to be around 20-25 days. Sharing the screen with Varun Tej is Meenakshi Chaudhary as the leading lady. Adding further glamour to the project is Bollywood actress Nora Fatehi, who plays a crucial role. The supporting cast includes Naveen Chandra, Ajay Ghosh, Kannada Kishore, Ravindra Vijay, and P Ravi Shankar, among others. The film features a talented technical crew. Karuna Kumar handles the story, screenplay, dialogues, and direction.
Dr Vijender Reddy Teegala and Rajani Thalluri produce the film under the banners of Vyra Entertainment and SRT Entertainment. Music composer GV Prakash Kumar provides the music, while A.
